The first of the two people who hit the 2345 kiriban requested a pic of Jiraiya and Tsunade from Naruto for someone else. I am under the impression that there is an element of secrecy involved here, so I'm not yet saying who until I know they've got it. (Now watch there be no secrecy at all and I'm just being silly.) Anyway, this was *supposed* to be a picture of two old friends kicking back and having a drink together, but then Jiraiya somehow got that grin and then he started singing "I'm gonna get some! I'm gonna get some!" and I completely lost control of it after that. (Tsunade: "Only in your dreams!") I guess you really can't keep a good ero-sennin down. Same with the coloring -- this was supposed to be an exercise in *simple* coloring and I managed to make it complex. I swear, the *next* picture I do will be simply colored!

The original is about 14 x 12" so many details are lost in this version. If you want, take a look at a detail here. That *also* loses a bit due to the jpg compression, but there's not much you can do about that except save it as a .png and I didn't do that, so tough.

There are probably many errors that can be fixed and I'm sure you guys will spot them all and let me know. I might even go and fix them And for anyone who doesn't know the characters, Tsunade's boobs are supposed to be like that. I assume her wandering around doing ninja stuff without adequate support garments is a special ninja Boobage no Jutsu.

Time: er, the better part of three days. One day to sketch and ink, two to color. I'm not sure of the total number of hours, because I tend to work a bit, then go do something, then come back. Probably 15 or so solid hours of work.

[ edit ] Sorry for popping this up in your watch lists again. I completed a step-by-step tutorial of what I did to make this painting. It's a bit slight in the actual shading methods, but I figure those deserve their own tutorials and I will one day make them . Until then, you'll just have to be satisfied with this.
